The aim of this project was to create a mini film to promote the release of the first issue of YUTH MAGAZINE, an independent magazine featuring surf, skate, snow, art, and music stories. The goal of their platform is to bring print back and get young people to get offline, go outside and be free.

It follows the story of two kids: one who goes outside, inspired by the magazine, and gets to see a beautiful meteor shower; and one who misses out big time, absorbed in their phone.

Later down the line, Yuth had another great idea: to make a "where's waldo" inspired two-page spread of their local San Clemente beach, T-street Beach. I had never filled an illustration with so many characters before, each one becoming sillier than the last. It's a secret how many logos I hid in there … or maybe I just forgot. Included in issue 2 of their printed magazine.
