As an animated short documentary project, I interviewed the co-creators of "Quince" - Ellpetha Tsivicos and Camilo Quiroz-Vázquez. Quince is an immersive comedy production that follows a 15 year-old Chicana confronting her queer identity, family and religion on the eve of her quinceañera. It's a story that emphasizes the importance of family and community, and fitting LGBTQ+ experience into tradition, rather than separating the two.
